About Baby-Hunch
What is Baby-Hunch?
Baby-Hunch is an online platform where you create a baby pool. Friends and family predict the gender, birth date, weight, length, name, hair colour and eye colour of your baby. After the birth, we calculate who guessed closest. You can then order a beautiful keepsake book with all predictions and wishes.
Is Baby-Hunch free?
You can start for free. With the free version you can see the first 5 entries. Want to see everything? Upgrade to Premium for €4.95 (one-time). The keepsake book is optional and starts from €34.95.
Do participants need an account?
No. Participants only need the link to your baby pool. They fill in their prediction without needing to create an account.

How do I create a baby pool?
Go to 'Start baby pool', enter your name, email address and due date. Done! You'll receive a unique link to share.
What can participants predict?
Depending on your settings: gender, birth date, birth time, weight, length, baby name, hair colour and eye colour. You choose which questions to include.
Can I adjust my pool after creating it?
Yes. You can change the settings, add a personal message and photo, and adjust which questions participants can answer.
How do I share my pool?
Via WhatsApp, email, QR code or by copying the link. Participants don't need an account or app.
Can I see who has participated?
With the free version you can see the first 5 entries. With Premium you can see all entries, messages and photos.
What happens when the baby is born?
You enter the real birth details (gender, date, weight, etc.). We automatically calculate the scores and determine the winner.
Can I delete entries?
Yes, as the pool owner you can remove individual entries.
Is the due date visible to participants?
You can choose whether to show or hide the due date. It's always private by default.
Scoring
How is the score calculated?
Each correct prediction earns points:
- Gender: 5 points for correct guess
- Birth date: 5 points for exact date, 3 points if 1 day off, 1 point if 2 days off
- Birth time: 3 points if within 1 hour, 1 point if within 2 hours
- Weight: 5 points if within 50g, 3 points if within 150g, 1 point if within 250g
- Length: 5 points for exact, 3 points if 1 cm off, 1 point if 2 cm off
- Hair colour: 3 points for correct
- Eye colour: 3 points for correct
- Name: 5 points for exact match

The book
What is the keepsake book?
A beautiful hardcover book (21 x 15 cm) with all predictions, personal messages, photos from participants and the final results. Available in multiple themes. A unique memento of your pregnancy.
When can I order the book?
You can order the book at any time, but it will only be printed after you enter the birth details. Delivered within 5 working days.
How much does the book cost?
The book starts from €34.95 for 20 participants. Extra participants cost €0.50 each. If you've already purchased Premium, the €4.95 is automatically deducted.
Can someone else gift the book?
Yes! When someone joins your baby pool, they can choose to gift the book to you. A personal and original baby gift.
